Royal Fine Art Commission Trust announces Building Beauty Awards shortlist
The Royal Fine Art Commission Trust is today delighted to unveil the shortlist for its 2022 Building Beauty Awards sponsored by Ballymore, celebrating buildings, engineering structures and urban landscaping schemes that add beauty to Britain’s environment. UK projects completed since the beginning of 2019 and visible to the public were eligible to enter.
The shortlist has been selected by a judging panel chaired by Stephen Bayley and will be presented by Lord Foster of Thames Bank O.M. at the Bloomberg European Headquarters in the City of London on 21 November.
The overall winner (chosen from the four category winners) receives a £10,000 cash prize, the joint biggest architectural prize in the UK, and will represent the UK in the race to be crowned the world’s most beautiful new building at the World Architecture Festival in Lisbon on 2 December.
