Royal Warrant Holder Halcyon Days collaborates with American Etiquette Expert, Lisa Mirza Grotts

Halcyon Days is thrilled to announce their partnership with 23-year certified Etiquette Expert, Lisa Mirza Grotts, aka The Golden Rules Gal. Grotts is a lifelong collector and admirer of Halcyon Day’s homeware, accessories, and enamels. Her love for the brand began over 40 years ago when she received one of Halcyon Days’ renowned enamel boxes from a friend.

To commence their partnership, Grotts is in London to attend the Coronation of King Charles III and has exclusive access to events leading up to the May 6th Coronation. Halcyon Days has had a decades long association with the Royal Family since 1972 when they were granted their first Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. Last year, Halcyon Days held a presentation for the late Queen at Windsor Castle to celebrate their limited-edition Jubilee collection and showcase their rich archive of Royal collections.

Grotts is now in London to promote Halcyon Days’ Coronation Collection, which includes a range of entirely handmade commemorative enamels and fine bone China which, with their glorious designs and promotion of traditional craftsmanship, pay a fitting tribute to such an historic occasion.

Grotts’ love affair with London and royal tradition began during her junior year abroad at Oxford University. She believes there’s nowhere else in the world where you can find such pageantry, tradition, and history. She has travelled to London and Windsor as a royal correspondent for the weddings of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and Prince Harry for HuffPost, Nob Hill Gazette, and SF Chronicle. Lisa is a member of The Prince’s Trust and in 2021, she attended a dinner at Windsor Castle with His Royal Highness. Additionally, she was appointed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to the Most Venerable Order of The Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, founded by Queen Victoria in 1888.

“Lisa Grotts is passionate about everything which we, at Halcyon Days, admire and uphold. She has a deep sense of tradition and is appreciative of the centuries-old skills and crafts which have been at the heart of our brand since its inception in 1950. Lisa is a great supporter of The Prince’s Trust, as are we, and truly understands our brand’s position and values,” states Harper.

“Halcyon Days is steeped in history, and I am honored to represent their global brand. Because poetry has long been one of my hobbies, many of the boxes in my collection are associated with imaginative language from some of the world’s greatest storytellers,” add Grotts.

Halycon Days has collaborated with like-minded charities, historical estates, revered designers, and individuals to create timeless collections that showcase and champion British craftmanship. Grotts is looking forward to spreading brand awareness and sharing her love for Halcyon Days’ inspiring designs and story to her primarily American audience.

About Halycon Days: Halcyon Days was established in 1950 as an emporium of antique gifts in Mayfair, London. Although the art of enameling on copper had flourished throughout the second half of the 18th century, it had almost completely ceased by the 1830s, and by 1950 the process was solely reserved for utility items such as saucepans. Halcyon Days set out to revive this artisan craft and, by 1970, had opened its own production facility. As the company grew, so too did its product offering. Today, Halycon Days offer extensive ranges of English fine bone China and premium accessories alongside their signature enamel boxes. While their products are sold all around the world, they continue to be crafted by hand in two workshops in the West Midlands: the beating heart of the British pottery and enameling industries.
