Sir Vince Cable will help UK’s first bilingual Mandarin-English nursery group launch their new centre

Hatching Dragons, the UK’s first bilingual Mandarin-English nursery group, will open its second setting on the 1st September at 10am at 2-4 The Green, Twickenham, TW2 5AA. Sir Vince Cable will be cutting the ribbon at 10am.

The Liberal Democrat leader and Twickenham MP has long been a stalwart supporter of education and his attendance will also mark his push of an inclusivity & diversity agenda in the country.

Hatching Dragons founder Cenn John said their expansion proved London parents recognised the importance of preparing children for an increasingly interconnected world and in the importance of nurturing greater intercultural understanding. He said: “We have always believed in the value of a bilingual education for young children. The cognitive benefits are obvious and now well documented. And I don’t think it’s ever been more important to nurture intercultural understanding in our young people to show them that there is more that brings us together than drives us apart. At Hatching Dragons, both language and cultural awareness are equally important and I see it as our mission to nurture children to become better global citizens for the future.”
