Snow-Camp, the UK’s only registered youth charity using snowsports to change the lives of inner-city youth, is launching their brand-new fundraising challenge, the ‘AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic’. The challenge will take place at the Italian resort of Courmayeur from the 30th January to the 2ndFebruary 2020. Over two action packed days in the Alps, participants will undertake ski orienteering, laser biathlon, parallel slalom racing, a team distance challenge and a snow-shoe relay.
The AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic was inspired by the ten-year success of Snow-Camp’s annual Alpine Challenge in Morzine. This year, the charity wanted to shake thing ups and re-inspire teams to get involved and help raise funds for Snow-Camp’s ongoing work with young people. The camaraderie, healthy competition and legendary après-ski events will continue alongside the new ski challenges and in a stunning new location.
Also new for this year’s challenge is an exciting partnership with the City Ski Championships, of which Snow-Camp has been the charity partner of for the past two years. Joining forces means that both the AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic and the City Ski Championships will run at the same time in the same resort – enabling Courmayeur Classic teams to enjoy a number of the on-snow and evening activities hosted by the City Ski Championships, and allowing teams of both events to meet, network, ski and celebrate together.
