Strictly Come Dancing Winner Jive Tutorial
WhichBingo, the UK’s leading bingo review website, has partnered with the Strictly Come Dancing series 14 winner, Joanne Clifton, to provide professional advice on how to perfect the jive – featuring an all-new tutorial video.
The former winner, who won the show in 2016 with partner Ore Oduba, is a former world and European champion for ballroom dancing – and can turn any ballroom novice into a jive pro.
During the winning episode, Joanne and Ore won over the hearts of both the crowd and the judges with their Jive to Bruno Mars’ Runaway Baby, earning them the top score of 40/40.
Joanne’s latest dance partner for the tutorial is Charlie Shakespeare, presenter at WhichBingo, who is put through his paces as he attempts to learn the Jive in half a day.
It’s a testament to Joanne that Charlie accomplishes the Jive by the end of the session – resulting in a sparkly and energetic routine that the judges would surely be impressed by.
Clearly a lover of the Jive, Joanne completed a 24-hour live stream back in 2020, to raise money for the NHS during the pandemic, smashing her original target of £500 and reaching a whopping total of £13,000 – leaving her dubbed a ‘hero’ for her dedication.
Speaking of the experience, Charlie Shakespeare said: “I loved every second of it, however, I am exhausted. Joanne is great – she is an amazing teacher. I wouldn’t call myself a Jive pro just yet – but perhaps I’m on track to become a semi-pro!
“One of the most exciting aspects of Strictly each year is the opportunity to learn what makes a good ballroom routine, and many fans will wish they could dance like the pros. A video tutorial like this gives the fans the opportunity to learn from the best – and have some fun!”
