STUDY: 80% of Items Will Be Delivered by Autonomous Vehicles

With online shopping increasing exponentially every month, businesses must be at the forefront on the most effective ways to deliver their products and keep their customers loyalty.

A study by packaging supplier Rajapack has investigated the importance played by up to date delivery systems to fill customers needs and increase companies’ productivity.

Some of the conclusions from the study include:
Drones – Some of the most successful companies have already include this delivery system. Drones will be able to carry packages up to 15kg and assist in one-hour delivery services.
AGVs – Autonomous ground vehicles are mobile parcel lockers monitored from a control point. They follow a set delivery route and once it’s arrived the customer can take the item from the AGV.
Last mile logistics will benefit the productivity of the company and generate loyalty and retain customers.
