Television Centre Live Returns: Sounds like summer!

Television Centre Live is back with a series of FREE events co-hosted by local cultural partners. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy our iconic site and creative community, including workshops, live music, artist markets, artists showcases and film screenings.

Kicking off Television Centre Live on 13th June, local legends Next Door Records will host a live music Open Decks. Anyone is welcome to bring their favourite records and have a spin on the decks. As with each event this summer, delicious food and drinks will be provided by The Broadcaster’s pop-up bar on wheels.

Are you looking to get crafty? We have partnered with local independent art house, Kite Studios, to provide a FREE Printmaking Workshop on 19th June, where you can create your own colourful artistic prints. If you’re looking to be more hands-on, try our Clay Throwing Workshop on 10th July, where you will learn to make your own ceramic bowl, plate cup on a professional pottery wheel. Beginners welcome! Tickets are limited, so register for FREE below and don’t miss out.

We are delighted to be partnering with The Royal College of Art to deliver an incredible end of year Artist Showcase on 17th July. A FREE public event hosted on the forecourt; we will be presenting the absolute best RCA animated works on TVC’s Big Screen. This event is set to be an artistic masterclass! Catch a sneak preview of their work during advert breaks on the Big Screen playing throughout the summer.

On 25th July, pull up a chair or beanbag and watch a FREE original film screening created by local artist incubators and White City Place resident, HQI. Hosted on the Big Screen on the TVC forecourt, this will be the unveiling of original artist works including the best up and coming film creators, producers, and directors, followed by a feature length screening.

Want to take part in a FREE African drumming and instrument workshop? We are partnering with the local creatives Malambo Music Association, to host TVC’s Great Funk Challenge. Join us on 22nd August for the opportunity to learn to play African drums and other African instruments from professional musicians and work as a group to create an original funk tune. Tickets are limited so register now!

Don’t miss the standout FREE event of the summer – Television Centre Live’s Local Arts Market on 31st August. An opportunity to see the best of West London’s creative expression, this market is a celebration of local talent, featuring over 30 artists displaying and selling their unique handmade goods, including paintings, sculptures, jewellery, and textiles. Throughout the day there will be live music hosted by local icons, Next Door Records.
