Renowned for its thrilling Stadium Racing, the adrenaline-fuelled Extreme Sailing Series™ returns to Cardiff Bay, Wales, for the seventh consecutive year over the August Bank Holiday weekend, as the headline act of the Cardiff Harbour Festival.

From 24 – 27 August, Cardiff will play host to the international fleet of hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans for the only UK stop on the 2018 action-packed global tour, which also visits Oman, Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA and Mexico. The world-class line-up consists of Olympians, World Champions and America’s Cup superstars.

Two teams battling under the British flag will include INEOS Rebels UK, whose crew are mentored by senior members of Sir Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup team, and Team Wales, bolstered by local talent.

As well as the fast and furious GC32 Stadium Racing, an international fleet of high-speed two-man Flying Phantom catamarans will battle for the final time this season, with the 2018 champion to be decided on Cardiff Bay. Fans will also be able to catch a Schiller Bike Relay Race on Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 August from 17:00.

The free entry Fan Zone offers front row seats to the exhilarating on-water action alongside on-shore activities to keep the whole family entertained. Located near the Norwegian Church, it will be open to the public from Saturday 25 to Monday 27 August.
