THE NEW OLD FASHIONED WAY: CELEBRATE ‘OLD FASHIONED WEEK’ FROM 5 NOVEMBER WITH WOODFORD RESERVE

Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Week, the global celebration of the world’s most popular classic cocktail, is returning for its 6th year in 2021, bigger and better than ever.

The event sees bars embracing their creativity and pushing the boundaries of what makes the perfect Old Fashioned and runs globally from 5th – 14th November.

However, in the UK, Woodford Reserve will be continuing the party throughout the month, at iconic venues such as the Gleneagles Hotel, The Hoxton Hotel and many more across the country. Partners will host a whole range of activities, including bar takeovers and specially curated Old Fashioned Week cocktail menus, hero-ing the classic serve and delivering a spectacle for all the senses.

Woodford Reserve was officially voted as the best bourbon to use in an Old Fashioned* making it the perfect choice as the official organiser and bourbon of Old Fashioned Week. It is an award-winning, super-premium whiskey, with more than 200 detectable flavours including sweet aromatics, spice and floral notes. Swift – Partnership between Swift & Decatur to end Old Fashioned Week in style with 2 Southern Style Seafood Boils running on Friday 12th evening and Saturday 13th day time in Swift Shoreditch. It will be a ticketed event and guests will be treated to an Ember (Swifts WR serve) on arrival alongside a menu of 3 different WR serves. Decatur – the food partner will be cooking up a 3 course menu for both nights. We will also have the Ember available on Decatur’s website – where people who order meal kits at home will also receive the cocktail.

To end Old Fashioned Week in high spirits, Woodford Reserve will host ‘The OG Old Fashioned Masterclass’ on November 24th at 8pm, partnering with legendary bartender Jake Burger to deliver a spectacle for all the senses. Burger will share tales from his distinguished career, before UK Woodford Reserve Brand Ambassador, Joseph Hall, will host an interactive session – exploring the unique flavour profiles of Woodford Reserve.
