The Russell Square Cabmen’s Shelter will be holding a Charity Day
On Friday 29th June, the Russell Square Cabmen’s Shelter will be holding a Charity Day to help raise money for the London Taxi Drivers’ Fund for Underprivileged Children (LTFUC).
The charity was founded in 1928 in this very Cabmen’s Shelter when it was located in Leicester Square, before being moved to Russell Square some decades ago!
All food and drink at this iconic shelter served on Friday 29th June day can be purchased by making a donation to the charity. There will be delicious homemade cakes on offer and there will also be a raffle draw with some fabulous prizes up for grabs!
A spokesperson told us “We are kindly being assisted by a team of volunteer London taxi drivers who will be fundraising for us on the day by donating their tips for the day and raising awareness about this wonderful charity, who this year celebrate their 90th Anniversary.”
