Estrella Galicia is excited to announce that its
month-long celebration of Spanish food, Gastronomy Month, will be taking place for a third year running this May. Hungry guests can get a taste of Spain early this year, as Gastronomy Month offers over 22 masterclasses, tasting menus, tapas tours, Spanish
Fiestas and enticing offers to bite into for the whole month. What’s more, for this year’s celebration, Estrella Galicia will subsidise ticket costs for select events, so good food can be enjoyed together, all month long.
What’s on offer during Gastronomy Month:
Tapas Tours
Hosted across the country, guests can visit multiple restaurants in one go for the ultimate Spanish food tour, with select restaurants offering their finest small plates expertly paired
with Estrella Galicia beer. In the South, Londoners can venture across Iberica,
Pix
pintxo and Brindisa with dishes including
Empanadilla de atun, whilst in Brighton, guests can kick off their feast in the heart of the city at
The Coal Shed, followed by
Burnt Orange and
Tutto. Northerners can voyage across
Newcastle’s top Spanish bodegas Kaltur Dean Street,
Fuego
and Kaltur High Bridge.
Finally, in Ireland, guests can start their journey of Spanish gastronomy at
The Market Bar,
enjoying dishes such as
Gambas pil pil, followed by visiting 777 and Salamanca.
Tasting Menus
Satisfy your hunger with an array of exclusive tasting menus perfectly paired with Estrella Galicia at some of the UK’s most loved Spanish restaurants. In London, choose from a tasting menu
at Rogues, boasting a range of seasonal sharing
plates, or feed your appetite with a true Galician menu at Brindisa.
In Ireland, tasting menus will be held in Dublin at both Hellfire,
showcasing a unique style of flame-fired cooking, and
The Exchequer, using locally sourced
ingredients incorporated into a menu of Spanish influences, derived from Head Chef José’s upbringing in Santander. Further tasting menus will be available at Caroline Martin’s
Sampa Bistro in Manchester, offering Brazilian
fine-dining infused with British cuisine, as well as the home of Spanish tapas in Edinburgh,
Piggs.
Beer and Food Pairing Masterclasses
Learn the art of beer and food pairings with Estrella Galicia. In London, pairing events will be held at
Bar Daskal located in Borough Yards as well as
Brindisa
in the South Kensington outpost. Taco lovers can rejoice as Taphouse
in Dublin will be hosting a taco and beer pairing masterclass. In Bristol, renowned chef Owen Morgan’s
Bar 44 invites those to discover
seasonal tapas pairings with Estrella Galicia brews.
Spanish Fiestas
Kickstart the summer celebrations with Estrella Galicia’s fiestas. In London and Leeds,
Iberica
will be hosting ‘Pour & Carve’, where guests can learn the techniques of ham carving, while also learning to master ‘A pour like no other’ for an Estrella Galicia beer. Additional festivities can be enjoyed in Edinburgh where guests will be treated to a Flamengo
performance followed by a four-course traditional tapas menu matched with Estrella Galicia. Whilst in Otley Leeds, guests can take part in Tapas & Tunes, which includes an Estrella Galicia paired tasting menu alongside
live Spanish music from Mestisa..
Attend the grand finale of Gastronomy Month in Cardiff at the BBQ summer party, hosted by
Bar 44, where guests can expect a selection
of delicious dishes straight from the grill, paired with Estrella Galicia beers and ‘A pour like no other’ masterclasses.
Beer and Bite
A highly anticipated return for 2023, in over 100
venues across the the UK and Ireland, customers will be able to sip on an Estrella Galicia beer paired with a tapas dish of choice, starting from just £4.95. Available to diners at any time throughout May, participating venues include
Sabor, La Condesa, Casa Monolo, La Bandera (Manchester), Gambas (Bristol) and Ole Tapas (Bath). Dishes on offer include Monkfish Tempura, Galician Octopus, Croquetas de Jamon y Queso Mahon and Empanadas with various fillings.
