The UK’s most popular beaches according to Instagram users
With the current situation, many of us are swapping international travel for ‘staycations’.
The good news is there are all sorts of brilliant beaches right here in the UK.
CasinoGuide.co.uk conducted a study and analysed the number of Instagram posts across 500+ beaches in the United Kingdom.
Analysing the findings, the top ten most Instagrammable beaches in the UK, based on the number of posts, are:
Durdle Door – Dorset – 272,771 posts
Whitley Bay – Newcastle upon Tyne – 270,017 posts
Dungeness Beach – Kent – – 136,740 posts
Aldeburgh Beach – Suffolk – 121,892 posts
Polzeath Beach – Cornwall – 113,153 posts
Hunstanton Beach – West Norfolk – 97,874 posts
Ventnor Beach – Isle of Wight – 92,152 posts
West Wittering Beach – West Sussex – 76,918 posts
Whitstable Beach – Kent – 30,725 posts
Three Cliffs Bay Beach – Wales – 33,897 posts
The study by CasinoGuide.co.uk revealed that an iconic British landmark, Durdle Door is the most Instagrammable beach in the UK at the moment.
However, Whitley Bay, which is known as a traditional seaside family resort, might take the first place on this list after this year’s summer.
A representative of CasinoGuide.co.uk said: According to certain statistics 48% of people choose their destination based on what they see on Instagram and 35% of them discover new places to visit from Instagram. Instagram really changed the way we travel.
