This adult-only hotel group hosts festival holidays – and here’s why over 50s are loving it
Love seeing all your favourite bands live but dread the thought of being up to your knees in mud at a festival? This adult-only hotel group may have just the ticket.
Warner Hotels, known for its adult-only short breaks, is providing an alternative to the classic cold, wet, and muddy outdoor festival.
Recent research from Saga* showed that festivals are becoming increasingly popular with over 50s, however 38% of those surveyed said they favoured day festivals with only 21% saying they would camp on site.
As part of Warner Hotels’ alternative offering, guests can swap out the sleeping bag and tent for a four-poster bed at one of its magnificent manor houses and coastal retreats – and ditch the shared facilities and port-a-loos for their own bathroom and access to hotels’ spa facilities to ensure they go home mud and stress-free.
Warner Hotels’ midweek festival breaks promise at least seven live acts during the four-night stay, three daytime shows, and four in the evening, bringing together a mix of bands and tributes followed by nightly DJs that are sure to get everyone out of their seat until the early hours.
There are festivals on offer to suit all tastes as Warner Hotels has curated breaks for a variety of eras, from the 60s onwards as well as a mixture of genres including Country music, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Motown and Soul.
Of course, not all festivals are about music, so for festivalgoers who would prefer to sit back and enjoy an evening of laughter, there are comedy performers including tribute acts to Peter Kay and Brian Connolly.
Aside from a stellar line-up of performers, each break comes complete with an array of activities for guests to experience built into the price, including archery and laser clay shooting. Additionally, instead of queuing at burger vans and balancing trays of chips on their laps, guests can enjoy breakfast and three-course dining in a choice of restaurants, also included in the price of the break.
Head of entertainment, Matt Williams said: “50 is the new 40, and we know guests love to experience new things or reconnect with activities they enjoyed earlier in life, such as attending music festivals. At Warner, we see the passion for amazing entertainment regularly, so we have combined these acts to create a no-mess festivals with not a welly, tent-pole, or dreaded port-a-loo in sight!
“Each break not only encompasses everything you’d expect from a Warner holiday, but brings the joy of the festival spirit to the staycation too.”
Warner festival breaks start from £239 per person for a 3-night stay, which includes breakfast and three-course dinners, festival entertainment, spa access and activities.
