thortful.com launch Send a Smile initiative to help colleagues stay more connected

Working from home isolation getting you down? Ahead of International Week of Happiness at Work (21st – 27th September), thortful.com have launched their Send a Smile Initiative to encourage people to stay connected to their colleagues by sending a card…because who doesn’t love surprise mail?

With many people still working from home and this looking like the reality for some months to come, thortful have launched a new initiative to ensure colleagues, coworkers and employees don’t feel isolated from their teams.

Whilst technology has been a saving grace during the pandemic, enabling us to stay connected to others and communicate with colleagues, friends and family, the joy that comes with receiving a physical card, note or message is unparalleled.

And what better time to launch this great initiative than during the International Week of Happiness at Work, a week dedicated to bringing the importance of happiness at work to the forefront.

With research showing that the average person will spend 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime*, being happy at work is of paramount importance. “Science and business have (also) shown that happy employees have a huge advantage over unhappy ones. They are more productive, flexible, resilient, creative, make happier customers and work better with their colleagues.”**

thortful.com commented on the initiative by saying “with many people still working from home, we want to encourage people to stay connected to their colleagues by sending a card. The pandemic has really highlighted how important connection and community are for our happiness, and sending a card shows you’re thinking of someone.”
