“Today is my day!”- £140,000 prize for lucky Londoner including Porsche
Here’s the moment a lucky Londoner had the surprise of a lifetime after scooping a £140,000 cash-and-car prize thanks to leading online competitions company BOTB.
Ali Issa was at home in Mitcham when BOTB’s Christian Williams turned up to tell him he was this week’s dream car competition winner and the new owner of a brand new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 worth a huge £110,000 – plus it had £30,000 cash in the back.
But the kind-hearted lad, who works as a security guard in London, said he’d be giving the money to his mum to buy a house.
“I can’t believe it’s finally happened to me,” he said. “I’ll be giving the money to my mum to help her buy a house. This is life-changing for us and she’s going to be very happy!”
Ali said he’s been playing BOTB for a while.
“I’ve been waiting for Christian for a long time,” he laughed. “This really is my dream car!”
BOTB hands over the keys to two stunning cars each week as well as the lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to the Arctic and £15,000 in cash.
The company, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £48m worth of cars so far.
BOTB’s Christian said: “I love getting to surprise the lucky BOTB winners each week but meeting Ali was one to remember. His reaction was definitely one of my favourites so far – and I’m not surprised, what a prize he’s played for. Massive congratulations again!”
