UK supercar hotspots revealed

Hertfordshire tops the list as the UK’s supercar hotspot beating the likes of Manchester, London, and Birmingham.
Researchers for car rental comparison website StressFreeCarRental.com crunched the numbers to see which areas of the UK were most tagged on Instagram using the hashtag #uksupercars.

The South East county of Hertfordshire took podium position as it has the highest concentration of supercars in the UK, unsuspectingly beating the capital which came in second place.

Various towns in Hertfordshire were tagged by almost a quarter of Instagram users, 24%, with the most posts coming from Hatfield which is home to several supercar dealerships including Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and McLaren.

London just missed out on the top spot with 23% of posts being tagged in the capital city.

In third place, with 12% of #uksupercars tags came Manchester – with a sizeable difference between the top two areas of the country.

It comes as no surprise that one of the most affluent counties in the UK, Hampshire, appears in the top ten with 9% of posts – ranking it fourth in the table.

Brummies will be disappointed to see that their city came joint fifth with Essex on the list both with less than 10% of posts being tagged there.

The county of Leicestershire sits in sixth place (6%) with a majority of posts being tagged at Castle Donington – home to Donington Park Circuit where enthusiasts frequently showcase their beautiful vehicles.
