The BEST Growth Hub, in partnership with Let’s Do Marketing, is excited to announce the launch of AdVantage, a unique competition designed to give new and scaling businesses across Essex the digital boost they need to outshine their competition.
Starting on 16th September 2024, AdVantage offers an incredible opportunity for ten selected businesses to win tailored marketing support packages, with the overall winner receiving a package worth £2,500.
About the Competition:
Recognising the challenges faced by emerging and scaling businesses, AdVantage aims to provide access to professional marketing advice and hands-on guidance. This initiative will empower businesses to strengthen their digital presence and achieve their growth ambitions. Ten businesses will be carefully selected to receive bespoke marketing support, encompassing both consultancy and practical assistance tailored to their specific needs.
How It Works:
AdVantage is open to all business leaders across Essex, including Southend and Thurrock. To enter, participants must complete a simple form detailing their long-term goals and current marketing challenges. The competition is completely free to enter.
Key dates include:
Entry Deadline: 5pm, 22nd November 2024
Shortlist Announcement: Late November 2024
Pitch Skills Workshop: Early December 2024
Big Pitch Event: Early January 2025
Marketing Support Commences: January 2025
Shortlisted businesses will be invited to a complimentary pitch skills workshop, after which they will present their business case and explain how the support would propel their growth. Nine businesses will each win a marketing package valued at £1,500, while one standout business will receive the top prize of £2,500 in marketing support.
What the Winners Receive:
The ten winning businesses will collaborate with Let’s Do Marketing to identify critical areas where marketing support can make a significant impact. The support packages will incorporate a combination of marketing consultancy and practical hands-on support, with a budget included for some marketing activity. Topics may include:
Development of a Business Model Canvas
Crafting Company Vision and Mission Statements
Establishing Brand Guidelines
Setting up Professional Email Addresses and Signatures
Google Product Setup
Building or Enhancing Company Websites
Improving Business Listings
SEO Optimisation
Mastering Canva for Design
Social Media Marketing and Advertising
Email Marketing (including Mailchimp setup)
Developing a Comprehensive Marketing Strategy
