Vision Express scoops gong at regional awards
A UK-wide tour in its Vision Van, raising awareness of glaucoma, the ‘silent thief of sight’, has earned Vision Express acclaim at the CIPR Midlands PRide awards and short-listings in countless others.
The CIPR ceremony, held at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham on Friday 10 November, saw the national optical retailer named the Silver winner in the Healthcare Campaign category in recognition of its Vision Van initiative.
Vision Express toured the country in its high-tech mobile eye testing unit during World Glaucoma Week (13th-17th March 2017), teaming up with charity partner, the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) to put the spotlight on glaucoma, the biggest cause of preventable sight loss in the UK.
The campaign also earned the optician a shortlist position in the Not-for-Profit Campaign category.
The award win follows a year of achievement, with Vision Express named as finalists in over 10 industry awards, including the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards, Retail Week Awards and the Corporate Engagement Awards.
