Westfield launches Summer Social entertainment programme

Dance classes, mood-tea making and cheese grazing arrive at Westfield for the perfect wellness staycation

Get ready to embark on a summer staycation like no other, as Westfield proudly presents The Summer Social – a festival of creativity, wellness, and sports and entertainment for all ages.

Taking place at Westfield London from 28th July to 6th August and Westfield Stratford City from August 19th to 28th, The Summer Social brings together everything from Disco Yoga and terrarium building to Kombucha making and dance classes for a variety of ages.

With staycations on the rise and more of us looking to stay close to home this summer, Westfield’s schedule of events is perfect for mates, dates or a family day out with plenty to see and do at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.

Katie Wyle, Head of Shopping Centre Management at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield says: “The Summer Social is designed to appeal to a diverse audience, offering a wide range of free events that reimagine the British summer experience. We can’t wait to welcome visitors at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City to immerse themselves in a curated experience of creativity, wellness, and sports and entertainment.”

Fitness fanatics can dance their way through with a variety of vibrant dance classes on offer from At Your Beat, an inclusive dance group who are pioneers in diversifying fitness and ensuring dance is as inclusive as possible. With K-pop and Music Video sessions plus a higher intensity ‘body-party’ class designed to improve fitness and stamina, there is something for everyone. Yogi’s can enjoy yoga moves to disco grooves at Disco Yoga, one of London’s most fun fitness trends whilst those up for some healthy competition can partake in a football skills session with Velocity Training Club.

Those looking for a little positivi-tea can enjoy a mood tea making session, where participants will be guided through the properties of a range of medicinal and culinary herbs and spices and combine them into unique blends to match their mood. Sip n Paint and candle painting join the artistic agenda where participants are strongly encouraged to unleash their creative potential and will walk away with a proudly painted canvas or set of candles as a keepsake from the session.

Foodies can indulge in Grape & Fig’s cheese grazing workshop, a paradise for cheese-lovers where visitors will learn the art of curating the perfect spread for any gathering, using locally-sourced, seasonal and fresh produce.

Providing the soundtrack to summer will be a selection of Kiss FM’s top DJs. Visitors to Westfield London can enjoy summer beats from Davda and AJ King on August 5th, whilst those spending an afternoon at Westfield Stratford on August 12th will be accompanied by tunes from Esi and Matchstick.
