What a Quacking Pair – The Royal Hen and Stag
With only two months to go till Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot – it looks like a Manchester Artist is going quackers for the golden couple.
A Manchester Artist called Jo Cushing has transformed two giant ducks to resemble the quacking pair and it’s hoped they’ll wow thousands of onlookers at this year’s Annual Manchester Duck Race which is sponsored by bathroom specialists Bathroom Takeaway on the 30th March.
It’s been reported that the couple will have a joint “Hag Do” int he Swiss Alps this Spring so maybe they could taking these ducks with them..
Using the finest ginger material to create Prince Harry’s signature hairstyle and a bow tie and painted white shirt to finish the look took Jo approximately eight hours to complete as she fitted this in around her art classes at The Open Studios in Altrincham.. For the stag horns Jo used bandages, twigs and paint. Meghan Markle duck took just six hours due to perfecting her hairstyle and glamorous wedding lace detail to depict her dress. We’re yet to find out whether Meghan will be adorned with the traditional veil and L Plate as she prepares for her important new role.
Businesses across Manchester have created their own ducks to compete for the “best dressed duck” Award and can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/mcrduckrace/
