What’s on at Fora: International Women’s Day 2022

Celebrating the International Women’s Day 2022 theme, #BreakTheBias, Fora is set to host a series of five thought-provoking events advocating courage, empowerment and diversity; with captivating contributions from Caitlin Moran, Annie Macmanus, Pride in London and more.

Collaborating with thought leaders, influencers, and Fora Residents, from a cross section of industries, Fora’s programme is curated to champion a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

Breaking the Bias with Caitlin Moran and Annie Macmanus

If you’re a woman and don’t think of yourself as a feminist, Caitlin Moran wants to convince you otherwise, and will make you laugh along the way. The best-selling author and award-winning columnist is joined by internationally renowned DJ, broadcaster, writer and events curator, Annie Macmanus. On March 10th, they’ll discuss gender equality, sex, self-image, music, and Breaking the Bias.

Pride in London present: LGBT+ reflections for IWD’22

As Pride in London approaches its 50th anniversary, Fora has joined forces with Mint and Pride in London, to host a panel discussion, on 8th March, exploring how the landscape has changed for gay women in the last half century. Guests will hear from a group of prominent voices in the LGBT+ sphere, reflecting on how the roles, perception and treatment of the community has altered, and what steps are needed to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive space for the next generation of women.

The Authority Gap with Mary Ann Sieghart

On March 9th, join Mary Ann Sieghart as she shares inspiring observations and experiences from her recent book, ‘The Authority Gap’. A consideration of how society still don’t take women as seriously as men, and what we can do to change this. This experience will encourage attendees to celebrate diversity and develop the potential behavioral changes with the ability to lessen the gap for all, and improve everyday working experiences for the entire cohort.

Pop-up Gallery – Our New World: ‘A world where difference is valued and celebrated’

Supporting and encouraging a strong display of diverse culture, Fora is partnering with Subject Matter and ArtGirlRising to host a pop-up gallery, celebrating female artists to raise awareness of and support equality in the workplace. Fora, Spitalfields pop-up will run between the 8th – 25th of March, with all artwork available for purchase.

Step into your power with StrongHer

With a focus on fitness and empowerment, on March 8th, StrongHer – London’s first women only Strength and Conditioning Gym – founders will explore female entrepreneurship, diversity and leadership, along with how to maneuver a business through times of transition. The session will conclude with a 30-minute workout, open to all levels, from beginners to fitness pros.
