Why green solutions are central to large brands and business partners’ success

More and more companies are coming to realise that being sustainable and environmentally conscious isn’t an option. Businesses all over the world are finding ways to minimise their environmental impact through any means possible in response to the ever-growing climate crisis.

That’s not to say that the process is easy; transforming the way you fundamentally operate as a business takes time, commitment and hard work, but the long-term benefits make the challenge all the more worth it. In the end, sustainable companies will be more resilient, create a positive impact in their communities and build a loyal consumer base.

How partnerships can create long lasting change

For any business to become more sustainable, they must first consider whether their suppliers are following their same ethos. Fortunately, there are many large brands and business partners who can help achieve greener operations.

Recent years have seen industrial giants such as private aviation company, VistaJet pledge to be carbon neutral by 2025, thereby creating meaningful change in all the industries they interact with. In 2020, over 80% of VistaJet Members offset CO2 emissions in partnership with South Pole, a global project developer offering solutions for climate action. The initiative saw an incredible 893,525 tons of CO2 offset.

VistaJet has also collaborated with SkyNRG, a global leader in sustainable aviation fuel, in order to widen access to this alternative fuel for aviation companies around the world. In addition to their partnerships, VistaJets sustainable projects such as fuel reduction technology, technologically advanced aircrafts and sustainable in-flight products show how carefully chosen partnerships can make a huge amount of difference.

Ways in which partnerships can help businesses be more sustainable

Carbon offsetting

Carbon offsetting refers to compensating for carbon dioxide emissions by participating in schemes that make equivalent reductions. VistaJet knows the benefits of such a scheme and has encouraged 85% of VistaJet Members to compensate for their flights by investing in carbon credits.

Cleaner operations

By investing in research and development in order to find innovative technologies that reduce carbon output, companies can see a significant reduction in their environmental impact. VistaJet’s partnership with SkyNRGsaw aircraft operators around the world clean up their operations due to increased accessibility to clean fuel.

Cleaning up

Businesses must also contribute to the welfare of the communities in which they operate. Investing in cleaning up projects, like VistaJet’s partnership with Ocean Bottle, can reap huge rewards for the local community. Indeed, VistaJet’s partnership saw 22,800 kg of plastic dredged up from the ocean.

By creating meaningful partnerships that not only benefit your company but the environment and communities as well, a company can increase their sustainability and decrease their environmental impact with a few bold actions. With such policies, even private air travel can clean up its operations to help the greater good.
