As part of its sustainability ethos, The Clean Dog Co’s product packaging is 100% recyclable. The dog care brand has partnered with Underdog International to donate 20p for every bottle of shampoo purchased and has also committed to planting one tree per order in the UK with charity partner Ecologi.
All products by The Clean Dog Co have been manufactured in the UK and ingredients are 100% naturally derived, vegan and thoughtfully-sourced. A lot of care has been taken to ensure there are no harsh chemicals or irritants within the products, and no artificial fragrances or colours have been included in the formula – everything has been tested on humans first.
Natt McHale, Founder of The Clean Dog Co comments on the launch: “Ever since owning a dog, one of the biggest challenges I’ve had is finding products for them that aren’t full of harsh chemicals which are either overscented or irritate their skin. The Clean Dog Co was founded by Natt McHale, who combined her love for dogs and health-conscious lifestyle to launch a dog care brand which specialises in natural, vegan fur and skincare for dogs. After getting married in 2016, Natt sadly spent nearly four years trying to conceive with no success, propelling the importance of her pup Pablo’s role in her life, acting as her emotional support to help pull her through this incredibly emotionally exhausting time. Once given medical advice on how to increase her chances, she dramatically boosted her healthy lifestyle. Natt went through a 360 health check process by sorting out all household items, from food to beauty, to evaluate whether or not the products she used were good or packed with harmful ingredients which included items she had for Pablo.
Once Natt thought she had found a shampoo for her dog Pablo that ticked all the boxes, the chemicals irritated her hands, it was hard to apply and wash out, and the product was over -cented. This marked the moment Natt realised there needs to be a real natural, dog-friendly shampoo available for dog owners. So she decided to spend two years developing her very own dog shampoo, with a range of grooming products in the pipeline.
