You won’t believe what Mrs Hinch is using to help house her alpacas

Social media influencer Mrs. Hinch took to Instagram earlier this month to reveal her family’s exciting move to Hinch Farm. She also introduced three new members of the Hinch family – alpacas Roy, Rodney and Raymond.

To keep her new furry friends free of mud and mess, she’s opted for the specially-designed Easigrass Pet turf to form part of their shelter. Let’s find out more about the new residents of Hinch Farm and how Easigrass has helped them settle in.

Meet the alpacas

So, who are the newest members of Hinch Farm?

Roy is the bigshot boss, that’s for sure, always eager to sniff out something new or to show affection. Rodney is much more shy, though he’s coming out of his shell as the days go by – but just don’t try and feed him runner beans! And then there’s Raymond, a bit of a goofball who likes to leap and play, though he also likes a good sit down too.

Settling in to their new home

As well as their natural grass pasture, it’s important to Mrs. Hinch that the alpacas also have a comfortable, soft and safe place for them to stay close to their shelter that isn’t too muddy and that still feels like real grass.

That’s why Easigrass Pet was chosen for this area. This special product has been designed with a high-strength and high-density pile thickness, meaning that it is resilient, low-maintenance and allows animals to play and relax in total safety and comfort. Plus, Easigrass is a company that Mrs. Hinch already knows and trusts after our team previously laid a high-quality lawn for her.

Your alpaca questions answered

Inspired to get your own alpacas? Or just a little curious about how to look after them?

Will alpacas eat artificial grass? Alpacas are smart creatures and know when something is edible – as Mrs. Hinch put it in a recent Insta story, her three newbies just see it as a nice, comfy area to roll about on before going on to enjoy their natural grass pasture!
Is it safe? Our Easigrass Pet is completely safe for animals of any type, and is cushioned and durable. It’s also been designed to prevent any buildup of odour, making it a hygienic choice, too.
How do you shelter an alpaca? Alpacas are best suited to open pastures thanks to their padded feet, though they do love to snuggle up in a barn or shelter when harsher weather kicks in.
What special care do alpacas need? Alpacas are actually quite straightforward to take care of, though of course, they require all the necessary vaccinations, along with regular grooming and toenail trimming. Consulting a vet will be the best place to begin.
Thanks once again to Mrs. Hinch for choosing Easigrass, and we’re glad to hear Roy, Rodney and Raymond are settling in so nicely.
