Chessington World of Adventures Resort recently reopened its gates to welcome back guests following the easing of lockdown and this weekend has played host to a number of celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing contestant and Good Morning Britain presenter, Ranvir Singh, Blue member, Antony Costa and Mark Rhodes, one half of the Sam and Mark duo, all taking a trip to Chessington with their families for a wild and fun-filled family day out.

Also experiencing the Theme Park thrills, was TV and Radio presenter Kate Thornton, who visited with her family to celebrate her son’s birthday and experience the new ride Croc Drop and the other 40 plus rides and attractions on offer.

Jamie Theakston and his son were ready and raring to plunge the 25m on Croc Drop, which is the first NEW ride at Chessington since 2013. Alongside Croc Drop, celebrities enjoyed rides on the new swinging pirate ship, Blue Barnacle, along with old favourites such as Vampire, Dragon’s Fury and Tiger Rock, as well as encountering all of the animals in Chessington’s Zoo, which this July will have been welcoming guests for 90 years.

Charlie Condou, Sarah Cawood, Charlotte Coleman, Claire Sweeney, Zoe Hardman and Sonali Shah were also spotted on park.

After riding Croc Drop, Mark Rhodes said: “Croc Drop was so so good, we all loved it. The kids couldn’t get enough”.

Charlie Condou commented ‘I’m a huge fan of rides and Croc Drop was brilliant. Really fun’

Sonali Shah also had good things to say about her day at Chessington ‘It was amazing, my stomach just about held up! I think I might be riding Croc Drop several times this afternoon…’
