NETFLIX TAKES OVER CHILTERN FIREHOUSE FOR ITS ANNUAL BAFTA PARTY
On Sunday night, Netflix returned to the Chiltern Firehouse for its hot-ticket BAFTA Party, celebrating its 22 nominations across four titles, and wins for Jeymes Samuel’s The Harder They Fall – Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer; and Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog – Best Director and Best Film.
The Power of the Dog is the third film directed by a woman to win BAFTA’s Best Film and Jane Campion is only the third woman to win Best Director in the Awards’ seventy-five year history. It is the first time that BAFTA has awarded the Best Director prize to a woman for two consecutive years.
Netflix BAFTA winners and nominees were joined at the luxury restaurant and hotel by A-list guests, including Sienna Miller, Florence Pugh, Andy Serkis, Emma Watson, Ashley Walters, Lily James , Cary Fukunaga, and Questlove.
