FREE training courses for adults in West Yorkshire
A free programme by Leeds City Region Enterprise (the LEP) is available across West Yorkshire to support more people in securing employment across the region.
Employment Hub is a free programme which aims to help people secure further learning, self-employment, employment and apprenticeships through outreach activities, face-to-face meetings and website referrals.
The Employment Hub has already helped nearly 6,000 people secure employment, self employment or further training across Yorkshire.
One Employment Hub programme user commented: “I joined the programme last year as I was claiming Universal Credit after being made redundant from the hospitality industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite having some qualifications and experience, I needed to find a role that would fit in with caring for my daughter, and the Employment Hub was a huge help.
“With the guidance and support of my adviser, I was able to create a CV and secure a number of interviews before finding a job that was the perfect fit for me.”
Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire said: “We are delighted to be able to continue supporting people across the region. After a turbulent two years that left many out of work or unable to secure employment, we would encourage all those looking to fulfill a job role to use the services available to them through the Employment Hub, in order to take their first step onto the careers ladder.”
