Camden Town Brewery’s helping Brits tackle the heatwave with its own take on a traditional 99

With the UK finally hotting up, is there anything better than a fresh ice cream (beer) in the sun? As warmer weather sweeps the UK, we’re keeping you cool with the revival of a classic. Introducing our beer-y twist on the traditional 99s for just – you guessed it – 99p.

Savvy ice cream lovers will have spotted you can’t find the traditional 99 for 99p anymore, with some hungry sun-seekers paying as much as £51! But with the temperatures rising, we thought it was time to reward Camden fans around the UK with the ultimate refreshing treat – 1,000 cans2 of our newly launched Ice Cream Vanilla Lager – for the original price of a 99. No in-flake-tion here.

Our brewers have been busy whipping up cans of the good stuff to quench your thirst in the July heat, whilst saving those pennies. So mark Thursday 14th July in your diaries, as the beer is set to fly off the shelves faster than you can finish off an ice cream on a hot day in the sun.

While the UK melts in a heatwave, thirsty beer lovers will no longer have to choose between cracking open a cold one or enjoying a freshly whipped 99, as our summer lager combines the best of both worlds.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on our 99p beer, we’ll be selling a select number of cans from our very own Ice Cream stand on the mews outside the Camden Beer Hall for one hour only. A refreshing twist on happy hour, get all your mates together and join us at 7pm for a Camden take on a traditional 99.

Our limited-edition summer seasonal is a fresh beer brewed with lactose and vanilla essence. This refreshingly clean and creamy lager was our most popular flavour when it originally launched as part of our Arch 55 series last summer, proving you can’t go wrong with a classic.
