FREENOW adds in-app car rental services for seamless worldwide travel

FREENOW, Europe’s Mobility Super App, is announcing the launch of a new car rental feature, now available in the app for users across all 9 European markets, including the UK. This step supports FREENOW’s strong commitment to providing the best and most versatile mobility options for every situation.

The new car rental feature offers users the convenience of booking station-based car rentals from reputable providers including Avis, Hertz, and Europcar directly through the FREENOW app. Complementing the already existing range, the car rental option is perfect for users seeking transportation beyond ride-hailing or micromobility for example, when going on holiday.

Unlike already available short-term, free-floating carsharing options in markets such as Germany, FREENOW’s new car rental service focuses on worldwide station-based pickup and drop-off, offering easy access and attractive rates to users who like to plan ahead.

This launch follows FREENOW’s recent integration of public transport in Germany and is part of the company’s persistent effort to combine all relevant mobility offerings in one intuitive app.

FREENOW’s car rental feature is now being rolled out in all markets, giving the FREENOW users the freedom to book their preferred rental cars across the globe. Car rentals will have a separate tile on the app’s homescreen, where users will be able to easily choose location, date and further reservation details.

This announcement follows the recent integration with Karhoo under which FREENOW’s ride-hailing supply was made available across a suite of leading travel apps and websites,
offering a flawless experience to those making their travel arrangements across the UK and Europe.
