HAYLEY KIYOKO RELEASES NEW SONG “RED BIKINI” FEATURING SNOW WIFE
Today, director, musician, producer, and actress Hayley Kiyoko releases her new song “red bikini (feat. snow wife)” via One Riot/KRO/Rich Youth Records/Virgin Music Group – Listen HERE. The upbeat, playful track incorporates a hyper-pop/ electronic production. Hayley & Snow Wife trade verses highlighting both their personalities and signature styles. “red bikini” is the latest track revealed on Hayley Kiyoko’s official Girls Like Girls ‘Inspired By’ Soundtrack. Releasing on June 12th, the soundtrack marks Hayley’s first new music since 2022 and comes ahead of her directorial debut film Girls Like Girls in theaters June 19th. The ‘inspired by’ soundtrack is an extension of the universe fans have been invested in since Hayley’s iconic “Girls Like Girls” music video in 2015, which now has over 162 million views. The new album is a nostalgic journey through first love and yearning featuring some of the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in music: Young Miko, Tegan & Sara, Chelsea Cutler, Gigi Perez, Joy Oladokun, August Ponthier, and Snow Wife. The album is executive produced with Yves Rothman, known for his work with FKA Twigs, Amaarae, and Blondshell.
Girls Like Girls, from Focus Features, opens in theaters on June 19th and is produced by Marc Platt, Katie McNicol, Dee Best, Michael Philip, Jason Moring, and Richard Alan Reid. The film, which marks Hayley’s directorial debut, is based on her hit single and New York Times bestselling novel and represents a decade-long journey to bring this story to the big screen — Girls Like Girls is a heartfelt coming-of-age story set over the course of one sun-drenched summer, where new-girl-in-town Coley falls in love for the first time while learning to accept herself along the way.
