GB News Radio is celebrating another sensational set of audience figures after recording the fastest year-on-year growth of any UK network radio station.
Latest RAJAR data shows GB News Radio’s reach increased by 21% year-on-year to 676,000 listeners, outperforming all major network rivals over the same period.
The figures put GB News Radio ahead of Times Radio, which recorded a reach of 604,000 listeners, and Talk, which reached 560,000 listeners during the first quarter of 2026.
GB News Radio’s 21% annual growth in reach year-on-year places the People’s Channel ahead of Talk, which recorded 16% year-on-year growth, and LBC, which posted a 6% rise over the same period.
In contrast, Times Radio saw its annual reach fall 3% year-on-year.
GB News Radio also recorded 4.35 million listening hours during the last quarter, up 1% on the same period last year, demonstrating continued audience loyalty and engagement across its schedule.
Much of the increase has come from new listeners under 55. GB News is up 20% among adults aged 35 to 54 and up 30% among men aged 35 to 54 over the last quarter.
Commenting on the latest figures, GB News’ Head of Programming, Ben Briscoe, said: “These figures show more and more people are turning to GB News Radio for breaking news, opinion and coverage of the day’s biggest stories.
“The continued growth reflects the hard work, commitment and first-class journalism produced by our teams across the schedule every day.
“Just like on TV, GB News Radio is leaving its rivals trailing behind.”
GB News Radio’s performance is being matched by its TV ratings performance. GB News was Britain’s most-watched news channel on local election results day, outperforming both Sky News and the BBC News Channel as audiences turned to the channel for the very best coverage and analysis of the May 7 vote.
Latest BARB data shows GB News recorded an average audience of 185,700 viewers on Friday May 8, placing it 56% ahead of Sky News, which recorded 119,000 viewers, and almost double the BBC

During April, GB News recorded an average audience of 89,500 viewers and a 1.59% share, placing it ahead of Sky News, which recorded 86,200 viewers and a 1.53% share.
