PITTSMEAD GRANGE CARE HOME HAVE AN ABBA INSPIRED AFTERNOON OF FUN
Residents at Pittsmead Grange in Hayes enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of music, dancing and nostalgia during a special ABBA-themed event held at the home recently.
The care home was transformed into a sparkling celebration of the iconic Swedish pop group, with staff embracing the spirit of the occasion by dressing up in colourful 1970s-inspired costumes complete with sequins, flares and platform-style outfits.
Residents sang along to classic ABBA hits including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and Waterloo, while enjoying refreshments, dancing and socialising with fellow residents, relatives and staff members. The afternoon formed part of Pittsmead Grange’s ongoing activities programme, which aims to provide meaningful and engaging experiences that promote wellbeing, connection and enjoyment for residents.
General Manager Rose Akem said “our ABBA afternoon was a huge success and brought so much happiness to everyone involved. It was wonderful to see residents singing along, dancing and reminiscing while our team fully embraced the fun by dressing up for the occasion. Creating joyful experiences and special moments for our residents is at the heart of everything we do.”
