Ben Cajee has long been recognised for using his platform to talk openly about equality and representation. In 2020, he was widely praised for delivering a powerful and personal message on CBeebies about racism and fairness in the wake of the protests following the Murder of George Floyd. Speaking directly to young audiences, Ben shared his own experiences and encouraged children to help build a kinder, more inclusive world.

The Panda-Badger, Ben’s debut picture book, continues that message for a new generation – offering an affirming and empowering story that encourages children to embrace their full identity and celebrate what makes them unique.
