AJ Shabeel says Beta Squad aren’t getting back together and reveals a boxing match between Chunkz and Kenny split them up.

In conversation with Chuckie Online on the latest drop of JD’s In the Duffle Bag podcast, the YouTube star revealed that not only are the group not getting back together, but that a boxing match between Chunkz and King Kenny forced them to break up earlier this year.

AJ, 25, said: “Nah, we’re not coming back. Chunkz destroyed Kenny, punched him up.

“Play the footage because Kenny’s not even going to try and chase you up for anything – he smoked his jaw every round.

“So, basically, Kenny got punched up so Kenny felt some type of way; energy in the group started to be a bit weird.”

“Then there was a second fight, at the crib, this is not a boxing video this is off camera beef between Chunkz and Kenny again.

“Same situation, Kenny rinsed him to bits, now Beta Squad can’t come back but Kenny has been learning boxing recently.

“Kenny and Chunkz ended Beta Squad.”

Created in 2019, Beta Squad is a group of five English YouTubers; Niko Omilana, Chunkz, Aj Shabeel, Sharky and KingKennyTv who suddenly announced their split back in June.

AJ Shabeel – born in the Netherlands, goes on to describe to Chuckie how the group -who have nearly two million subscribers on the video sharing platform – was formed and when he first met Chunkz: “I was working in the cinema with Chunkz, yeah, that’s where we first met.

“I used to see him and, obviously, you don’t take note of anyone, you just see someone.

“When I went to the cinema to work there for my first day, he was the first person when I entered the room to go into to clean some screen or something, he was the first person there.

“He’s just there working and whatever and we kind of just lock eyes and I’m like ‘I’ve seen this guy before, where have I seen this guy?’”

“He’s such an open person and I’m a closed person; when you first meet me I’m kind of like a kind of quiet kind of reserved: he was open.

“He just kind of started teaching me; I know he’s teaching me the dodgy way of work.

“He was teaching the wrong way to work but it was great, met him there.

“ I think if it wasn’t for him being that open we would never have chat like that.

“It was very open in terms of bringing me in yeah, this is what you do, and then just help me pick things up and then we start chilling together – it just started going.”
