‘Bellway London welcomes councillors to two completed housing schemes’

Councillors from Lewisham Council have made their return to two Bellway London developments which have transformed disused brownfield sites into much-needed new homes.
Perry Vale ward councillors Susan Wise, Sakina Sheikh and John Paschoud were given a guided tour of the developments on Monday 27 February by Bellway London Sales Director Emma Hamlett and Sales Managers Agnieszka Komza and James Pitt.
The visit provided an opportunity for the councillors to return to Bellway’s developments, which have since delivered hundreds of sustainable new housing for the area, after being invited to site by Bellway London during the launch phase.
Bellway London has delivered 59 new homes at Dacres Wood Court in Forest Hill and 159 homes at Maybrey Works in Sydenham – with 71 of these homes providing affordable housing for local people across both projects.
Dacres Wood Court, part of the Lewisham district has rejuvenated a vacant former school site off Mayow Road, while Maybrey Works, part of the Bromley district has breathed new life into the former Maybrey Foundry site off Worsley Bridge Road.
Cllr Wise, who previously opened a show apartment at Dacres Wood Court in November 2021, said: “It was a pleasure to revisit Dacres Wood Court recently and to see first-hand how the completed development has transformed this part of our ward and provided these much needed homes.”
Emma said: “I’d like to thank Cllr Wise for returning to the development and Cllr Paschoud and Cllr Sheikh for accompanying her on this visit.
“We were grateful they took time out of their busy schedules so we could show them both developments and discuss the regeneration of these brownfield sites to provide housing for the local area.”

Dacres Wood Court features one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with the apartment buildings set in landscaped grounds which include a play area for children.
Maybrey Works includes one, two and three-bedroom apartments set alongside a residents’ gym, a Workhub facility and communal gardens.
Construction at both developments is complete, with the final few homes available to buy. A two-bedroom apartment remains for sale at Dacres Wood Court, priced from £499,995, while there’s a choice of one-bedroom apartments at Maybrey Works from £333,000.
Properties from both developments are being sold from the Maybrey Works sales office, with more information available at https://www.bellwaylondon.co.uk/new-homes/london-partnerships/dacres-wood-court or https://www.bellwaylondon.co.uk/new-homes/thames-gateway/maybrey-works or by calling the sales team on 020 3993 8572.
