BINGOTON: PADDY POWER PRESENTS A DRAMA…WITH BALLS
A thrilling new TV production is set to get its first airing tonight as ‘Bingoton’ hits our screens. `
Described as ‘a drama with balls’, Bingoton will be shown during Coronation Street on ITV this evening as mischievous betting brand Paddy Power share an eyebrow-raising taster of their latest piece of theatre.
Creating a tongue-in-cheek parallel between 19th century high society and the perils of modern-day dating, the piece was filmed to promote their new bingo campaign which is unveiled in a fashion befitting Paddy Power’s proverbial debutante.
The elaborate production invites viewers into the palatial grounds of Bingoton Manor as Miss Bingoton and her lady-in-waiting assess a selection of ‘gentlemen callers’.
Suitor Number 10 is amongst the parade of potential talent gathered for her viewing pleasure.
Although he manages to get the (bingo) ball rolling, he’s quickly dismissed by Miss Bingoton who instructs her footmen to “swipe left” on her behalf.
Suitor Number 3 is dispatched in an equally decisive manner, having been judged to be “catfishing again” when she takes in his dated profile
painting.
Trying his luck next is Suitor Number 66, a handsome gentleman from Essex who only has eyes for his own reflection.
Spokesman for Paddy Power Bingo, Paddy Power said: “We had so much fun filming Bingoton and watching our leading lady make mincemeat of her suitors, particularly the fella who
sent her (Charles) Dickens pics.
“Needless to say, he didn’t make the cut either.”
