BOOKIES SLASH ODDS ON MERSE AND MCINALLY TO FOLLOW KAMMY OUT OF THE SOCCER SATURDAY STUDIOS

Following news that Chris Kamara is set to leave his post on Sky Sports, bookmaker Paddy Power has cut the odds of fellow Soccer Saturdaylegends, Paul Merson and Alan Mcinally, following suit.

The ex-Arsenal funny man is priced as low as EVENS – in from a much longer 10/1 – to leave the Sky Sports studio, which has seen more departures in recent months than the Watford manager’s office.

And Alan Mcinally is now odds-on to not be in next season’s line-up, as his odds have also shortened to 4/7 (in from 7/1).

Other potential departures before the start of next season include Tony Cottee (2/1) and Bianca Westwood at (3/1).

Not that anyone can replace a man that misses red cards in games he’s supposed to be reporting on, but likely newcomers in place of Kammy include Homes Under the Hammer’s Dion Dublin (6/1) and Oasis tribute act, come ex-Everton man, Leighton Baines (4/1).

After hanging up his Sky broadcasting headset, a move to a direct competitor is on the cards, with Kammy priced at 3/1 to join BBC Sportand 4/1 to bring his top tier coverage to BT Sport.

But, Soccer Saturday enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that a spectacular return to the show by 2025 is rated as short as 3/1.

Elsewhere, Kammy is hotly tipped for a stint on Strictly Come Dancing this year (7/4), or if punters see him swapping the halftime Bovril for a Martini or two, they can have a dabble on him replacing Daniel Craig as the new James Bond at 200/1.

There’s been another departure at Sky Sports HQ, but for who, Paddy Power: “….I don’t know, Jeff. Has there? I must have missed that!”

Spokesman Paddy Power continued: “Seriously though, Kammy has become an icon for his on-air epic footy fails, so whoever does come in to replace him has some huge shoes to fill.

“And with the odds of Merson departing shortening too, it doesn’t look like Sky are finished with their home renovation. Good thing Dion Dublin’s in the running.”
