Brilliant Little Brands is a brilliant little idea

A group of national stall holders have joined forces to fight for both their businesses and the charities they support by setting up a new website called ‘Brilliant Little Brands’ (https://brilliantlittlebrands.com/) which is proving to be a harbinger of how we shop in the future.

The website, brainchild of two boutique fashion stall holders, Emily Bradley of Pink Avocet.com and Amanda Hamlyn of SW19London.com, showcases all the brands and bijou products that would normally be sold at the charity events hosted by the Charity Fairs Association’s members.

Emily explained what inspired Amanda and her to set up BrilliantLittleBrands.com:

“We usually sell at charity events and donate 10% of our day’s takings. Covid 19 has closed all these events – that’s sad news for us but devastating for the charities depending on us for their fundraising.

As small businesses there is little we can do on our own but by joining forces we have created our own online fair. This month we’re supporting Age UK but it will be a different charity each month.”

The Charity Fairs Association’s members host around 70 events across the country every year. These events have raised over £6m in the past 5 years. All spring and summer events have been cancelled with key autumn and Christmas events at risk as the pandemic continues.

Melissa Taylor, chair of the Charity Fairs Association said:

“The closure of these events is a real blow to the fund raising of the charities we support. Setting up the website Brilliant Little Brands is a fantastic idea. We’re so grateful to our loyal stallholder supporters for their help.
