Marking a quarter of a century of one of the world’s most celebrated American whiskey series, Buffalo Trace Distillery, the World’s Most Award-winning Distillery, proudly unveils the 2025 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) to the UK, marking the collection’s 25th anniversary and the debut of its first new addition in nearly two decades, E.H Taylor Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon.

First introduced in 2000, The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection represents the pinnacle of American whiskey craftsmanship, annually bringing together some of the most coveted bourbons and ryes produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Each annual release pays tribute to the Distillery’s legendary figures and pioneering spirit that have helped shape American whiskey’s enduring legacy since distillation commenced at the site in 1775. Now, as the collection celebrates 25 years, Buffalo Trace places a renewed spotlight in the UK, offering British whiskey lovers the opportunity to experience the full depth and rarity of this acclaimed series.

“Every whiskey in the Antique Collection is a reflection of the care, precision, and patience that define Buffalo Trace Distillery,” said Harlen Wheatley, Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace Distillery. “Since the collection’s creation 25 years ago, we’ve stayed true to our motto – ‘honour tradition, embrace change’, upholding the same principles of craftsmanship as those who came before us. Through meticulous distillation, long maturation, and the natural influence of seasoned oak and the Kentucky climate, time continues to shape every drop.”

This year’s release introduces E.H. Taylor Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, the first new expression to join the collection since 2006. It honours Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., widely regarded as the father of modern bourbon and a driving force behind the quality standards that define spirits today. After purchasing the O.F.C Distillery – now Buffalo Trace – in 1869, Taylor revolutionised production through copper fermentation tanks, steam-heated warehouses and advanced grain equipment that remain central to the distillery’s operations more than 150 years later. His influence extended far beyond Frankfort, Kentucky, as he championed consumer protection through the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act, establishing the principles of integrity and quality that continue to shape the whiskey industry worldwide.

Andrew Duncan, Global Brand Director at Buffalo Trace Distillery, comments: “The Antique Collection has long been admired by UK whisky enthusiasts, and this year we’re excited to celebrate 25 years of BTAC on both sides of the Atlantic. This is a defining moment for Buffalo Trace in the UK, an opportunity to share the depth of our craftsmanship and the legacy of the distillery with whisky lovers locally.”

To mark this milestone year, Buffalo Trace will host an exclusive consumer tasting this December at Buffalo Trace Distillery London, in the heart of Covent Garden. Whisky lovers will have the rare opportunity to experience the full Antique Collection in an intimate guided setting, with complimentary tickets available through an Instagram competition launching later this month. The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection will also be available for purchase from selected retailers including Harrods, Hedonism and Fortnum and Mason from mid-December, each bottle at a suggested retail price of £150.00.
