Studio Wayne McGregor today announces a bold and expansive season for 2025/2026, featuring Sir Wayne McGregor’s groundbreaking debut book, a major London exhibition, radical choreographic installations, and global premieres, tours and revivals. The season launches with WAYNE MCGREGOR: INFINITE BODIES, a landmark exhibition opening at Somerset House in October 2025, celebrating McGregor’s polymath practice and collaborations across dance, visual arts, and technology. Extending the experience, McGregor presents the UK premiere of Wayne McGregor: On The Other Earth, the world’s first post-cinematic choreographic installation at Stone Nest in London’s West End. This is followed by the publication of McGregor’s first book, WE ARE MOVEMENT, a subversive exploration of physical intelligence drawing on three decades of pioneering artistic and scientific research. The 2025/2026 season also unveils three major world premieres: Jocasta’s Line at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, a radical retelling of Greek tragedies, which will be available to stream on OperaVision; an epic new work set to Luciano Berio’s Coro at Teatro La Fenice, marking the centenary of Berio’s birth year; and a brand-new creation at The Royal Opera House, shown in Wayne McGregor: Alchemies, a triple bill which will also feature Yugen, and Untitled 2023. 2026 marks McGregor’s 6th year as Artistic Director of the Venice Biennale Danza, with his 2026 programme to be announced in April 2026. Company Wayne McGregor’s Deepstaria, which premiered in 2024, continues its world tour across Mexico, Sweden and South Korea. Revivals this season include McGregor’s Olivier Award-winning Woolf Works at The Royal Opera House, Chroma with the Norwegian National Ballet and La Scala Ballet, Yugen with Vienna State Ballet, Infra with the Korean National Ballet, and MaddAddam with the National Ballet of Canada. Further highlights include a collaboration between Studio Wayne McGregor, The Juilliard School and Rambert School culminating in an original and boundary pushing performance work marking a landmark moment in cultivating global creative partnerships. Studio Wayne McGregor will partner with Art Explora Foundation and V&A East on a new three-year programme, connecting East London communities through dance and the visual arts. The programme will engage young people through co-created performances inspired by the V&A’s collection, launching with a new dance work responding to Picasso’s Le Train Bleu. . The Royal Ballet Cinema programme LIVE IN CINEMAS takes Wayne McGregor’s Woolf Works to big screens across the nation from 9 February 2026. Finally, the outstanding avatar concert ABBA Voyage, choreographed by McGregor, continues its record-breaking run and bookings into 2026.
