Caudwell sells 50% of Riviera development, Les Oliviers

British luxury property developer, Caudwell, announces it has sold 50% of its apartments at South of France development, Les Oliviers. Despite global travel restrictions, in the past few months Caudwell has sold two apartments and a duplex to international buyers, for just under €5m in total.

Centrally located in Cap d’Antibes, Les Oliviers is an Art Deco influenced building that has been carefully revitalised into six exclusive residences. Each one offers generous living spaces, whilst paying homage to their elegant past. The site of Les Oliviers was originally the attendants’ quarters of Le Provençal, the former glamorous hotel which hosted the likes of the Kennedys, Coco Chanel, Joan Collins and Charlie Chaplin during the 1920s-1970s.

As more and more people relocate out of cities as a result of Covid-19 and seek greater space and privacy for their families, it’s little surprise that Caudwell has sold three Les Oliviers apartments in recent months. These six uniquely spacious apartments measure between 153.95sqm and 228.03sqm internally.

Three apartments have been purchased by international buyers from the UK, CIS and Germany. These include a four-bedroom, four-bathroom Duplex (spread across two floors) with its own private pool, and two apartments both with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The new residents of Les Oliviers will enjoy a series of beautifully manicured Provençal style gardens, a shared sundeck and heated outdoor swimming pool and pool house, plus access to a private tennis court at neighbouring Caudwell development, Parc du Cap. For botanical enthusiasts, there is a carefully conserved arboretum complemented by indigenous Mediterranean plants including lavender, roses, mimosa and jasmine.

Reynald Lapitz, CEO of Caudwell France, comments: “We’re delighted to welcome our international owners to Les Oliviers. If the past few months have taught us anything, it’s that time with family is paramount – something we believe is a driving factor for these three apartments being snapped up in a short space of time. It is clear people’s priorities have shifted, as we see more and more owners attracted to Les Oliviers (as well as to our second development nearby, Parc du Cap*) for the indoor space, private pool and gardens, and to accommodate their families. You really won’t find many apartments as spacious as what’s on offer at Les Oliviers.”

All apartments at Les Oliviers are equipped with high tech features including programmable ‘Lutron Homeworks system’ controls for mood lighting and security shutters. In addition to glorious apartment views from floor-to-ceiling windows, the interiors are contemporary yet classically inspired, including open plan French country kitchens and Carrara marble mosaic walled bathrooms. Residents will also sleep in total peace at night, with 24-hour security and private underground parking.

Remaining residences at Les Oliviers include a three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse; a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with private garden; and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a private garden. Prices start from €1,590,000.
