Old Spitalfields Market is galloping into the Year of the Horse with a joyful Lunar New Year celebration packed with food, culture, creativity and family-friendly fun. Taking place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, perfectly timed for the final weekend of half term, just before children head back to school!

To celebrate the Year of the Horse, the market will come alive with a joyful, family-friendly programme combining culture, creativity and food. Across the weekend, visitors can browse a pop-up Asian makers market, watch a traditional Lion Dance performance, get hands-on with dumpling making, and enjoy free children’s art workshops, making it an easy, feel-good half-term day out in the heart of East London.

Saturday 21 February

10am – 4pm:
Asian Makers Market featuring eight makers and brands
11am – 11.30am:
Traditional Lion Dance performance
11am – 4pm:
Dumpling making and free Lantern Making art workshops

Sunday 22 February

10am – 4pm:
Asian Makers Market featuring eight makers and brands
11am – 4pm:
Dumpling making and free Calligraphy workshops

The market will be open all day, with events taking place across multiple locations. All art workshops are free, and there will be plenty of independent shops, street food and restaurants to explore throughout the weekend.
