It’s now a year ago that consortium backed local channel Essex TV began streaming videos of Evers and showing films.

Fast forward to a year later, EssexTV is now a reliable source of news whilst now holding a great selection of notable events that they have filmed including the Miss GB Finals 2016, the BFI London Film Festival and they even bagged an interview with the likes of former London mayor Boris Johnson, Japanese rockstar Yoshiki, and music icon James Arthur.

Tim Tiernan, CEO of EssexTV told us “It is indeed a very exciting time for us, I don’t think any of us are where we thought we would be this time last year, I for one was still the Operations Director.”

In the last year Essex TV introduced written news as well as their video offering, they purchased Essex Magazine from a University of Essex student for a reported £20,000 whilst managing to register the brand as a trademark.

The local outlet now has coverage all across the South East and are vowing to become a national UK outlet within a few years.
