Etch Group Secure Redevelopment of Association of Commonwealth Universities Digital Landscape

Etch Group has won a competitive tender to become the digital partner for the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The first project Etch are delivering is a new website which is set to go live this year, in support of their ambitious growth and redevelopment strategy.

The ACU is the world’s first and oldest international university network, with more than 500 member institutions in over 50 countries. It is the only accredited organisation representing higher education across the Commonwealth and in January 2019, HRH The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle became its new Patron. The purpose of the website project is to provide better support for the ACU’s members and drive a more engaged, supportive community. Digital experts Etch Group will be leading the charge in the ACU’s digital transformation with the aim to establish a more robust technical ecosystem that will lead the way in the membership association by enabling and empowering members across the world.

Founded in 2006, Etch Group is a network of specialist digital agencies spearheading innovation and design by taking a collaborative, people-centred approach. Etch Group recently acquired the agencies Big Radical and Moov2, to expand their digital capabilities and provide more specialist expertise on large scale projects for clients like the ACU.

Natasha Lokhun, Head of Marketing and Communications at the ACU, said: “Working with Etch Group marks a really important step in the process of transforming our digital platforms. We envisage that this project will help us lead the way in the membership sector, making us more efficient, increasing our flexibility and helping us to develop deeper relationships with our members and stakeholders across the world.”

Tom Frame, Etch Group MD, commented: “Digital transformation and innovation is about building a culture where individual teams are empowered to make decisions that work towards achieving the organisational goals and objectives. We are extremely proud to be a part of the team that will allow better access to education around the world and are thrilled to hear of HRH The Duchess of Sussex’s patronage of the ACU.”
