Ex Deloitte and BetFair Tech Pro becomes Chair of London based AI driven job platform

Pioneering rec-tech company Clu, which is on a mission to make the working world work for everyone, today announces a major new hire to their growing team.

Joseph Williams, Co-Founder and CEO of Clu, has appointed decorated tech executive Emily Foges as Senior Advisor and Chair of the company to drive a strategic step change as the company prepares for its first major investment round.

Educated at University College London, Foges’ award-winning career spans over 25 years and includes senior roles at Deloitte, BetFair, BT Retail and Equifax.

An entrepreneur in her own right, she also scaled AI platform Luminance from a team of two to a $100m valuation and global market leadership under her direction as CEO.

Foges, who prides herself on scaling high-growth technology businesses, comments on the appointment: “Clu is a revolutionary idea. My appointment is a sign of their readiness to scale and further demonstrate the untapped value in overlooked and underutilised communities.

“I’ve spent my career innovating through technology and making industries work better for everyone. I am excited to work with Joseph and fellow Co-Founder Cayelan Mendoza to bring Clu’s vision to life on an international scale, driving higher-performing and more diverse workplaces world-over.”

Joseph Williams comments: “Emily’s incredible experience of building successful digital products makes her a phenomenal appointment for us at this stage in our journey.

“Her proven ability to galvanise diverse, international groups around a compelling concept of the future will play a vital role in helping us scale our vision for the future of recruitment and we are very excited about what we can achieve together for our team, partners, customers and communities.”

Clu mobilises economic groups who might be overlooked for roles they would be perfect for due to more traditional and biased hiring methods. It has helped thousands of people from minority and vulnerable groups find work and works with major employers including ASOS, TSB, BBC and Centre Point.
