FIRST ON-SITE LITTLE LIBRARY INSTALLED AT ROSEWOOD PARK IN BEXHILL-ON-SEA

Residents at Rosewood Park have recently celebrated the launch of a communal library installation at the development in Bexhill-on-Sea. This is the first ‘little library’ to be installed at any of David Wilson Homes’ sites in East Sussex, and has been introduced to encourage residents to swap and share books at the development.

With recent data showing that 31% of adults don’t read in their free time, rising to 46% of young people (aged 16 to 24), David Wilson Homes has decided to introduce its own little library to help increase accessibility of a diverse range of books for all members of the community.* Residents can visit the outdoor library, located at the development, and borrow a book free of charge. Residents are encouraged to donate some of their own collections for their neighbours to discover and enjoy.

Kay, a resident at Rosewood Park, comments: “We have been inspired by the notable increase in installations of these independent libraries across the country and have been thoroughly impressed by the local engagement they attract. The library is a lovely addition to the facilities David Wilson Homes has onsite at Rosewood Park and hopefully will be a valuable and much used asset for the residents.”

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Homes, comments: “In our increasingly digitised world, we hope this initiative will help our residents to connect with one another through a shared love of reading. By providing a constant turnover of new novels and non-fiction works, there will be something for everyone, so we encourage all our residents to get involved and enjoy reading something new!”

David Wilson Homes’ is currently building a selection of homes at Rosewood Park, with all homes in the latest phase now fully sold out. The next phase of homes will be released soon.
