GB NEWS EXTENDS COMMITMENT TO US PROGRAMMING
GB News can today announce that Ben Leo is heading to the United States of America to take on a brand new presenting role for the People’s Channel.
Currently host of Ben Leo Tonight, Ben will join Bev Turner in relocating next month to Washington D.C to present The Late Show Live, GB News’ bold new nightly programme
The programme, which will broadcast right from the heart of the U.S. capital, will be presented by Bev on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with Ben taking over on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In addition to his presenting duties, Ben, a former award-winning newspaper journalist, will also contribute original reports throughout the week.
Commenting on his new role, Ben said: “It’s been my dream to work in America since I was a little boy. I’m so excited to be fulfilling that now with GB News – especially under one of the most explosive and revolutionary administrations in U.S. history.
“I’m excited to be at the heart of it as things unfold and analyse how it immediately affects what happens back home.”
Ben Briscoe, GB News’ Head of Programming, added: “Ben is a rising star, and a journalist who stands out in an increasingly crowded field. With his tenacity, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to telling the stories that matter, Ben is fast becoming a defining voice of his generation, and a key figure in the future of GB News. We’re thrilled he’ll be at the heart of this historic new chapter in Washington D.C.”
The Late Show Live will air every night from midnight to 2am UK time, offering exclusive U.S. political coverage, high-profile interviews, and breaking updates from America.
The new programme adds 14 hours of live content to the GB News weekly schedule – a significant expansion at a time when other broadcasters are scaling back their live output.
