Harry and Meghan’s snub to the royals slammed by royal expert

PRINCE Harry’s explanation for not meeting up with his brother William while he is in the UK has been derided as “ridiculous” by a prominent royal expert.

Rafe Heydel-Mankoo was commenting on a report that Prince Harry has refused to meet William because he claims he has been unsupportive as a brother.

He told GB News: “Yes, we go from the sublime story of the Cambridges to the ridiculous story of the Sussexes, as per usual.

“I mean, to expect Prince William to apologise after all of the litany of insults and offence that had been caused by the Sussexes beggars belief.

“It’s akin to Prince Harry digging himself a hole, Prince Harry throwing a ladder down, Prince Harry burning it and then blaming Prince William for the entire episode.

“They both need to grow a pair and realise the country is going through a more serious issue right now, more than than petty insignificant vacuous issues.”

He added: “Prince Harry is waiting for an apology from Prince William for perceived slights, alienating him, turning his back on him and otherwise slandering him or him and his wife and making life difficult for them.

“I mean, one has to say that the ultimate reality of life on planet Sussex is actually quite stunning and remarkable at times.

“I don’t see what Prince William has to apologise for. He’s not the one married to a delusional drama queen who is intent on destroying the royal family in order to promote herself, no matter who she damages in the process.

“He’s not the one who’s threatening to publish a tell-all memoir that screams to allegedly reveal allegations about the royal family and members and the institution itself.

“He’s not the one taking his grandmother’s government to court, and he’s not the one who is snubbing invitations from his grandmother and from his father.”

On the Queen deciding not to attend a meeting of the Privy Council on doctor’s orders, he said: “It’s a lot easier to remember this is somebody who should have retired 30 years ago.

“The other thing to remember also is that we have had some positive signs. People who live in and around Balmoral have said that the Queen has been seen walking her dogs unaided without a walking stick, walking with a stick when she has gone into rougher ground.

“So there are some positive signs here but as you say it’s a big task for the Queen. The Privy Council meeting is when Liz Truss would have been sworn in.

“Normally the Privy Council meetings and since Queen Victoria’s time have always been held standing up, a traditional Queen Victoria had to make the move faster, but I’m fully expecting that for the past couple of years the Queen has probably been sitting down.”
