A leader in France and focused on profitability, availability, and energy efficiency of equipment fleets, Hiboo has made the United Kingdom a key pillar of its international expansion. In addition to joining the CPA, which strengthens its integration into the local ecosystem, Hiboo has recently appointed Ciaran Higgins to lead its operations there.

The British market provides fertile ground for Hiboo’s platform rollout, notably because it places strong emphasis on vehicle and equipment rental within the construction and public works sectors.

This feature offers Hiboo abundant opportunities to open its connected data platform to rental companies, enabling them to enhance the services they deliver to their customers. The UK currently counts around 518,000 connected vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and between 400,000 and 450,000 connected off-road machines (excluding agricultural equipment).

Over the past two years, Hiboo has therefore signed partnership agreements with key players, as part of a strategic effort to further develop its presence in the UK. These agreements already allow the company to connect nearly 10,000 units (vehicles and construction machines) across the country.

More than 70 companies, including major names in the rental industry such as Flannery, Potter Plant Hire, and Blackwood Plant Hire, now benefit from Hiboo’s shared data aggregation platform.

In October 2024, Hiboo formed a strategic partnership with Halomec, a British company specialized in optimizing mobile industrial equipment and facilities operating in demanding environments. Halomec now integrates Hiboo’s equipment fleet management platform to serve its clients.

Since the first quarter of 2025, Hiboo’s aggregation platform has also been integrated into leading ERP systems, Syrinx and MCS Rental Software, giving their users direct access to data analyzed by Hiboo. Through this integration, clients gain the ability to perform predictive maintenance, optimize machine usage and lifespan, and reduce the carbon footprint of their projects — all in real-time, within a shared digital environment.

Through these partnerships, Hiboo is now involved in some of the UK’s largest ongoing projects, including Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant with Bylor, where Bouygues and Laing O’Rourke are building two EPR-type nuclear reactors.
