HOUSEBUILDER JUDGES WHITTLESEY SCHOOL’S CORONATION CROWN COMPETITION

Cambridgeshire developer Barratt Homes hosted a crown-making competition at Park Lane Primary School to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

Marketing Executive, Sophie, and Marketing Co-ordinator, Jasmine from Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire visited the school to choose a winner from each year group.
The competition was tight as the whole school’s artistry was on full display, but the deserved winners each took home a coronation teddy bear as their prize.

Alison Prince, Year 2 Teacher at Park Lane Primary School, said: “The children put in so much effort to produce such unique and amazing crowns, that Sophie and Jasmine had such a difficult job in choosing just one crown from each year group.
“The winners were presented with a rather lovely, Coronation teddy bear to mark the occasion, which the children loved. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the children who took part.”

Will Phair, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “As a leading developer, it is really important that we support the community in the areas in which we build.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this competition at Park Lane Primary School, and Sophie and Jasmine had a tough time picking the winners with such amazing creativity on show.”

Barratt Homes’ Whittlesey Lakeside development, which is located less than two miles away from the school, offers residents the chance to live in a beautiful countryside location, with the vibrant market town of Whittlesey on the doorstep.

Residents can visit the nearby Ferry Meadows Country Park and Crown Lake which are just a short drive away. The development is within easy reach of major towns and cities in the area including Peterborough and Cambridge, making it a great home for commuters, young couples and families alike.
